Totem Yearbook Archives

Even though Chamberlain High School opened its doors in 1956, the first yearbook was not published until 1958, coinciding with the first graduating class. Named Totem, the yearbook staff chose the title in October 1957 after researching the word's meaning. "Totem" was derived from the word "wuhtohtimioin," which means "to which a person belongs" and represents the kinship that binds people together.
